Columbia Business School’s Healthcare Industry Association (HCIA) is a student organization dedicated to preparing its 200+ members to enter a business world that is dramatically impacted by the complex and evolving global healthcare industry. Many of our members are exploring career opportunities directly in healthcare organizations while some hope to work in fields that advise and invest in the industry, such as consulting or investment banking. Others members simply want to learn how the healthcare system works and how it affects them as employees and future business leaders.

As the student-led group focused on healthcare, we supplement Columbia Business School’s Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program by providing opportunities to hear from and interact with industry professionals across a range of healthcare issues. We also generate forums for students to network with peers and alumni in the industry. Furthermore, HCIA plays a major role in supporting students with the recruiting process by educating them on the companies that recruit at Columbia, connecting students with resources, enabling networking opportunities, and sharing their profiles with recruiters. After students graduate, they become part of the larger HCIA network, keeping close and lasting ties to the school's community.
